Who said Donuts only for breakfast? What if you can serve them as a dessert and have it as your favorite toppings treat? We have got an amazing ice cream filled doughnuts recipe for you to surprise your little ones, family or guests. This recipe is a quick, simple and easy one to serve the best ice cream donut for your special ones.

Ingredients you will Need for the Ice Cream Donut Recipe:

For the Glaze:

1. 1 tablespoon butter

2. 2 to 3 tablespoon of hot water

3. ¼ cup of Apple or strawberry jelly ( seedless)

4. ½ cup of powdered sugar

For Donuts and Ice Cream:

1. 1 can of Pillsbury Grand (16.3 oz.). Either you can use the refrigerated flaky layered biscuit or refrigerated Crescent Dough Sheet to bake the donut.

2. Oil for frying

3. Cinnamon powder ground (optional)

4. 3 cups of vanilla ice cream ( slightly softened)

5. Sprinklers and crushed topping with candies of your own liking

6. Chocolate syrup and any other cream topping like caramel sauce etc.

For Donuts and Ice CreamCooking Directions for Ice Cream Filled Donuts:

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Take a saucepan (1-quart) and melt the butter over a low flame. Add the Apple or strawberry jelly and third until it melts and forms a smooth consistency. Translate it into a small ball and turn it with powdered sugar until smooth by whisking it. And enough hot water and stir until the glaze is thin. Once done, keep it aside.

2. Now there are two ways in which you can make your doughnut buns :

  1. If you are using the can, bake the biscuits as directed in the can. Once it is done, immediately death it into the strawberry or the Apple glaze. Set on a cooling rack on a butter paper or parchment paper, whatever is available. Sprinkle with the crushed candies and I love it too cool for 20 minutes and let the glaze set.
  2. If you want to make the doughnut buns by yourself, follow these instructions. Hit the oil in cooking pot or a medium sized skillet. While the oil is heating, unroll the sheets of Crescent roll on a plain surface with a parchment paper sprinkled with flour. Using a Mason jar lid, cut a circle from the dough, or you can also use biscuit cutter. Try these Crescent rolls circles in the oil until it turns slightly golden each side. Must take about 2 minutes per side. Now let the extra oil drain. In a small bowl, add Cinnamon and sugar to dip the doughnut one they are cool enough to handle with hands. Toss the mixture sugar on the doughnut to coat slightly.

3. In a large bowl, put the ice cream 2 star and soften it. For the biscuits, cut them into half horizontally and place1/3 cup of ice cream in between the two. Freeze it for 30 minutes.

4. However, you can also add chocolate syrup or caramel syrup along with sprinklers in the bowl with scoops of ice cream and stuff to soften and mix. Use this to squeeze in between the sandwich and eat immediately.
